Bootie, Bootie, Bootie

The fabulous ladies of #trendingacrosstypes are back in action with a fun styling of booties! The white bootie trend is here and we couldn’t miss out on style some looks with them for y’all!

Fall Bootie Styled

When we picked these white booties [PS y’all know I have a thing for a good fall bootie] I knew I wanted a bold pop of color to pair with them. On to the the internet I went to find a fun color block sweater. Nordstrom had the answer with this super cute one and I really loved the colors.

Fall Bootie Styled

The sweater is lightweight and with the pinks I knew would transition well into spring [just like the white booties]. What I didn’t realize was that it was a cropped fit… was my postpartum body ready for this? I actually sent Monica a super awkward video of me wearing it because I felt so unsure. I love how it felt and the colors but on body I didn’t know if I could pull it off.

Monica reassured me I looked good and to just rock some high waisted jeans! So I swallowed my fear and decided to go for it because THIS is what this group is about; rocking trends for ALL ages and body types. #styleforanyage

So here I am sporting the crop with a bit of a front tuck and you know what?! I’m so glad I did it because I love the colors and how the whole look came together! I can’t wait to style these pieces throughout winter and early spring! So stay tuned on my IG and see where these looks pop up or follow me on Liketoknow.it!

Make sure to check out Laura and Monica to see how they styled their booties! AND stay tuned for several more exciting collabs we have over the next few months!

Lollipop Baby Camera + Nursery Reveal

I am so excited to finally show you all the nursery! I revealed awhile back that it would be cactus themed but never showed much more! I finally have the majority put together and can’t wait to show you everything. I also did my best to link all the items you see at the bottom of the post!

THE BEST BABY CAMERA

One of the first things I wanted when I found out I was pregnant was the Lollipop Baby Monitor smart and intelligent video-based baby monitor.

It is WIFI-based monitor such that you can not only use your phone to see your baby’s live-feed indoor, also in your office or outdoor is available to watch your baby.

I love the Lollipop’ name and the soft, rounded contours, and the posable silicone arm! Also, the camera can detect a truly crying baby and has a low false alarm rate! Basically, their technology can distinguish between CRYING and NOISE, which is totally different from the other products on the market claiming .

My favorite features:

  • Audio Mode – The Only Wifi Baby Monitor with Audio Mode for Overnight Monitoring
  • Audio Mode Alarm System – Alarm if there is a network disconnect while using Audio Mode.
  • No Addtional Monthly Fee
  • Push Video Notify – 30s event video, by Crying/Noise/Virtual Wall (Optional: Lollipop Sensor, Temperature, Humidity, Air Quality)
  • High Quality Video – Sony Sensor inside, H.264, 720P, with Made-in-Japan Computar Lens
  • Streaming – In home:LAN rtsp/Away from home:Cloud Streaming
  • Data History – Daily & weekly noise/crying and environment (Optional: Lollipop Sensor) data log
  • Quick Setup
  • Night Vision – Two mode selection – 940nm LEDs invisible for nearing baby, and 850nm for wall mounting
  • Remote Music Playing – Lullabies and smooth sounds built-in
  • Live View Sharing – unlimited shared users for your relatives
  • Mobile Device Requirement – Bluetooth 4.0(BLE) iPhone 4s or Later / Android Phone

In addition to the baby camera [which I loved that I could match the color to Annabelle’s room], I went with a pink/green/black colors group. The furniture in this room is actually a hodge podge of finds. But I will do my best to link similar products!

Why the cactus?

The cactus theme was build off of the glass cactus you see below that was my moms. I thought it was the perfect inspiration piece to build off of and as Annabelle grows I can’t wait to tell her all about her Grandma Jeanne that is in heaven.

Also, I want to note that the pillow and blanket will not be in the crib. I just staged them for photos!

New Year, Clean Home with Grove

A Clean HomeGrove Collaborative Cleaning

Please note this post may contain affiliate links!

After all the buzz and excitement of Christmas, January feels like the perfect time to  wipe the slate clean. I’m craving a calm, clutter-free home with lots of space to cook a healthy meal and unroll my yoga mat.

I know I’m not the only one feeling that way! Luckily for us, Grove Collaborative has a special offer to help start the New Year with a clean home. When you place your first order of $20 from Grove using my link HERE you’ll get:Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap

  1. A Free Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap
  2. A Free Mrs. Meyer’s multi-surface spray
  3. A Free Grove Collaborative caddy
  4. Free Grove Collaborative walnut scrubber sponges

Plus Free shipping & free VIP trial

If you’re already a Grove customer, you’ll receive a free set of walnut scrubber sponges.

I’m all for anything that helps me stay organized in the New Year, which is why I’m so excited about this cleaning caddy. It’s a chic and modern way to keep my most-used cleaning supplies at my fingertips.

The caddy is big enough to hold a few bottles of cleaner, gloves, and microfiber cloths — yet compact enough that I don’t feel like I’m lugging it around the house.

By choosing versatile and effective products, you’ll have less to carry around and be able to clear some space under your sink. Mrs. Meyer’s multi-surface spray, for example, works on countertops, backsplashes, faucets, doorknobs, painted walls, and even wood floors. I can literally clean my home top to bottom with just one product!

The Best Sponge

These Grove walnut scrubber sponges are also extremely versatile. The scouring side is made from crushed walnuts (yes, walnuts!) and is perfect for scrubbing pans or tile. The soft side is made from all-natural vegetable cellulose and is great for wiping down countertops and appliances. Since you get two, you can stash one in your cleaning caddy and one next to the sink.

Grove Collaborative Cleaning

Along with my walnut scrubber sponge, I always keep a bottle of Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap and dish soap by my kitchen sink. After all the holiday baking, I’m tired of doing dishes and grateful that Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap makes the job that much easier.

(By the way: if you spend $39, you’ll get a beautiful stoneware tray for free! It’s perfect for holding your soaps and a sponge.)

Another thing that helps me maintain a clean home all year long is Grove Collaborative. Grove hand-selects the best green products and delivers them (carbon offset) right to my doorstep, on my schedule. I get helpful reminders when it’s time to reorder, so that’s one less thing I have to think about.

As a VIP, I also get free shipping, free gifts, price matching, exclusive sales and personal service. Once you’ve submitted your order, you’ll be signed up for the free 60 day VIP trial so you can check it out for yourself!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign up for Grove Collaborative here HERE
  2. To receive this offer, your order needs to be a minimum of $20. Choose the combination of products and scents you love and receive your first box within a few days.
  3. You made it! Click Finish & Pay and place your order.

Things I Love

Front Door Thank You

The holidays are CRAZY for delivery of packages.  Last year I was inspired by blogger Katey McFarlan and I started a tradition of leaving out friendly snacks to thank them for all of their hard work.  I mean come on I basically order all of Christmas off Amazon so needless to say we get a lot of packages.

Front door thank you for UPS, FedEx, USPS

They work hard and work in the elements so this is such an easy way to say thanks! I received several thank you notes from drivers in appreciation so of course I brought it back this year!

I thought I would have a free download of the graphic I use as a sign.  It is super fun and festive and way better than if I try to handwrite something and I know some of you will appreciate that.

Here is the download for the Door Step Thank you!

What do you do to show appreciation during the holidays?

3D Ultrasound| Little Brother sees sister for the first time in 3D!

A couple weeks ago Mark, Tripp, my in-laws and myself went to have a 3D Ultrasound of baby Annabelle (name reveal video here). This was my first time ever experiencing a 3D ultrasound and I want to thank Hello Baby for hosting my family to this wonderful experience.

Family of 4
HelloBaby First Family Photo

My first pregnancy I didn’t think I “needed” a 3D ultrasound.  This pregnancy I wanted to do a few special things because so many things are different the second time around (like I totally forget to do weekly belly shots).  That’s where the 3D ultrasound came in.  After this experience though I would recommend anyone to do this during pregnancy.  You get SO much more time to see your little one then in the typical doctors office ultrasound. All in all we were there for almost an hour and the majority of the time we were getting to see baby!

I loved that if the baby wasn’t cooperating that they build in time for you to walk around and drink some juice.  If that still doesn’t work you can reschedule once for free!  Another thing I absolutely loved is how family friendly they were.  They engaged with the whole gamily and let Tripp get up close and personal!

Everyone was welcome and they were SO accommodating to my two year old.  They had a play basket, let him sit with me and even let him press buttons on the ultrasound machine (I mean that is every two year olds dream, right?!).

Empties #3

Hi y’all! I am here again to go through some of my used products! Enjoy!

Babyganics Shampoo+Bodywash: I can’t find the squeeze version of this anymore.  Which makes me sad because we have the pump version and I hate that it falls in the tub and gets water in it. I love the smell of this and that it rinsed clean from baby.  I tried using it as bubble bath but it left a film in the bath tub.  LOL.  I would recommend this product.

Dial Body Wash: This body wash didn’t seem drying. For those who don’t like a strong scent this would be good for you.  I like strong scents in body wash so it wasn’t my favorite. This has a great price point and it foams up really well which I like. Overall, it is a quality product for a good price.

CVS Dry Shampoo: I bought this in a pinch and it was on sale.  It works alright.  I think sometimes it can leave my hair looking a bit dull.  Also, it doesn’t seem to be as long lasting as I would like.  I usually have to reapply it throughout the day.  I would splurge on a better quality unless you are in a bind!

Matrix Smoothing Serum: This is the OLD version but I have linked the new one.  This works great but honestly I like my Paul Mitchell better only because it seems less sticky when I put the product in my hand.  I think the Matrix version is just thicker.  It helps keep my frizzy hair in line though for sure! I would recommend this.

Mac Blush: This brand is my go to for blush. This one is on it’s last leg and it busted to bits the other day so it is getting retire.  I love this color and a little goes a long way.  I think this blends well with other make up brands and the color is pretty true! Recommend!

Motrin: We have used this for fevers (as mentioned above) and for teething.  Recommend having this on hand!*

Tylenol: We had our first fever not to long ago  (as mentioned above) and this was great to rotate with Motrin.  Seemed to give our little guy some relief. Recommend having this on hand! *

*Please consult your doctor before giving your child medication.
