Annabelle’s Birth Story

Baby Annabelle’s Birth Story

When I sat down to write this birth story I decided that talking through it might be a little easier. I have so much to say and convey and I feel like text just wouldn’t do the story justice.  Plus, during this pregnancy I did pregnancy updates via my YouTube Channel… so why not continue the journey that way?  Below you will find video and some bonus labor and delivery photos! I really loved getting to put my story into words and while it might not be minute by minute accurate I think since it is still fresh it was easier to remember how everything happened!

PS If you missed my birth story with my oldest baby Tripp check it out here.

Checking to see if she is indeed a girl. Ha!

Baby Annabelle's Birth Story

I seriously just couldn’t believe how fast and calm everything was! Also, can we just take a second to give props to how great pregnancy hair is?  I will embrace this since in a few short months it will all fall out!

Baby Annabelle's Birth Story

If you wonder where baby A gets her double chin from… that would be me lol! And while this isn’t the most flattering picture of me I think it is my favorite because it shows how truly excited I was in that moment to meet baby A!

Baby Annabelle's Birth Story

I was so thrilled to have her to hold finally! Our family is so lucky for her to be apart of it.  Big brother is adjusting well and she already has daddy wrapped around her finger! She has been the sweetest baby and seriously was worth the wait!

Did you have a fast or a slow birth? I don’t know about you but I am addicted to watching and reading birth stories.  Every story is so unique and special and I love hearing how everyone’s unfolds.

Fantastic Philanthropy: It’s all about the YMCA

I think it is about time to outline another Fantastic Philanthropy! The YMCA has grown close to my heart over the last year.  My husband sits on the local board for one of the branches and I started working out there about a year ago.  We are involved specifically with the Westside and Benbrook YMCA’s.

The YMCA gives scholarships and youth program opportunities. Persons who wish to utilize the services of the Y, but cannot afford them, are given assistance based on their needs. This allows the YMCA to say “Yes!” to those who otherwise would not be able to participate. The YMCA offers a complete continuum of services for all ages.

Here is a great video of Cheryl who has benefitted from a YMCA scholarship:

Beyond the great things they do for the community the staff is great! I am greeted by my name everyday and asked how I am.  The group fitness instructors recognize you and also are very friendly and knowledgeable sources.

I think that goes to show how great the YMCA is not only for individuals but for the community.  Whether you are there to get fit, have children that play sports or are looking for a great philanthropy the YMCA serves all of those and much, much more!

Below are just a few pictures from my YMCA adventures:IMG_3296

Visit the YMCA for more info on how to volunteer, donate or join the gym!

GLAMGLOW review

glamglowmud

I have been eyeing GLAMGLOW for awhile now and I was a lucky gal at Christmas and my husband ventured to Sephora and got it for me!  He was smart and got me a variety set.  Without further ado:

This set included:

thirstymud

THIRSTYMUD: A great moisturizer that feels amazing.  It does have a slight sunscreen smell to me but nothing overwhelming.  I like putting it on at night and letting it absorb.  You can also put on and rinse like a mask! supermud

SUPERMUD– When they say tingle they MEAN tingle and by tingle it is almost like a slight burning sensation.  Not painful or anything it actually felt good just not the tingle I expected.  It doesn’t tingle for long either and after that just a tightening sensation.  There are some pieces of green tea leaves so don’t let that weird you out.  It feels very good and afterwards I defiantly could see my face looking a little brighter. youthmud

YOUTH MUD:  This is a great general mud mask that really helps clean the skin and doesn’t make your skin feel super tight! I am also having a slight breakout and it seems to help when I use it as a spot treatment; especially since it doesn’t tingle or tighten. My pores seem smaller and my skin seems refreshed!

Overall, I think these are GREAT masks.  Since I have combination skin I enjoy them all depending on my mood and what my skin is needing.  I think also as the weather changes it will be great to be able to have a variety. Others might enjoy trying a combo set out before diving into to just one! Great investment and even though the jars I have are small a little goes a LONG way!

The fall temps are here and I am loving it [for the most part]! I am on the Fort Worth Jingle Bell Run Committee and we had a walk through for our event.  This event is near and dear to my heart because it raises money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation.  Many people in my family YOUNG and old suffer from this debilitating disease and this event helps raise funds for research to help find relief and cures [there are over 100 different diseases that fall under the “arthritis” umbrella]!

Anyways I was feeling festive and so I decided to wear this bright red sweater.  I don’t tend to wear a lot of red because of my hair but pairing it with plaid really makes me feel cozy and in the Christmas spirit!

PS If you want to join my Jingle Bell Team; you can even Jingle in your Jammies from home [Click here] or donate [Here]! <3

Denim Days: Day 4

One of my good friends suggested this series so I figured to wrap it up I would go all out.  Wearing a Canadian tuxedo is WAY out of my comfort zone.  However, I used different blue jean shades to help me feel comfortable wearing it.  I actually really liked how it turned out!  For interest I added these floral heels and leopard belt.picstitch
