Shoes to Fall For

Falling in Love with my SAS Shoes

I don’t know about you but this HOT summer + pregnancy has me hoping, paying and thinking all the fall vibes.  We have finally gotten a little taste here in Texas and it has been amazing!

I have been having major envy of everyone and their “fall hauls”! I don’t want to go on a shopping spree right now since I am 9+ months pregnant and won’t know my real “fall” size.  However, something that I realized I COULD shop for was shoes.

As a busy (and about to be busier) mom I am always looking for comfort but something that is cute too. I want functional quality that will last more than just one season. This is especially true with shoes… I want to make sure they are quality not only for style but for comfort too!

When I saw the Dylan boot from SAS Shoes I knew I HAD to have them.  This Texas girl fell in love with the bootie style cowboy boot! Bonus is that they are super comfortable even with a small heel and they are so versatile (they also come in black).

SAS Dylan Boot

The Dylan Book features soft Italian suede covering the outside of the bootie with smooth leather lining inside. A plush padded insole provides all-day comfort and a durable back zipper makes it easy to slip on (perfect for pregnancy when it is hard to bend over). A leawood stacked heel adds character to this trendy style. Make sure to treat with the SAS Water-Resistant spray and keep these kicks looking new from season to season. Handcrafted in Tuscany, Italy.

Fall Shoes/Booties

These boots can go with leggings, jeans and dresses too.  They are great of the transitional fall weather but will also be great during cold days!  I love the camel color because it can easily go with so many things.  Another plus is that they will really accentuate all my leopard print which I LOVE and is on MAJOR trend this fall!

What is your favorite fall trend?

Blazer Series: Part 2

Since I started this series I decided I should publish a little “How to” for blazers.  They are so versatile but sometimes that can be really overwhelming when creating an outfit.  So here ya go!

picstitch

Step One: Blazing it up. Find a great structured blazer.  If you don’t have one already I would recommend black or navy as they are very neutral and can go with many blouse options.

Step Two: Top of your game. A soft blouse/ t-shirt or sleeveless shirt to go under the blazer. For a more casual occasion I go with a plain t-shirt and for a dressier occasion a blouse. Feel free to spice it up with a pattern or a bright color! Just remember your shoes and accessories will need to compliment one another.

Step Three: A mean jean. A well fitting pair of jeans.  Remember jeans can be colored or regular.  Whatever you feel most comfortable in or whatever color is suiting your mood! I prefer a dark wash denim with my black blazer. It gives it that dressed up crisp look. But when I am going more casual a light wash jean is my “go-to”.

Step Four: Pump it up.  A nice pump really helps balance the jean and blazer look.  Gives you classy and edgy look. Go for a fun color (magenta) or pattern (leopard)!

Step Five: Bling, Bling.  A statement necklace is the icing on this outfit.  If you haven’t gone bold with your shoes, or top here is where you can make your impact.

Step Six: Show em’ what you got.  Have fun in your new outfit!

Watching For Trends Part Trois

What can I say… I definitely took advantage of the holiday break with family and didn’t blog! But I am back in action and have one last watch styling based on a find from Invaluable.com Women’s Watches!

Watching for Trends Part deux

Since I had such a hard time styling just one watch I decided to make it into a series! Just a reminder I found the watches featured in this series on invaluable.com’s women’s watch page! I wanted another fall look with lots of fun color and texture and this is what I put together.

Again, I wanted to find the pieces to enhance the watch all at one store and I did that today with Target!

Watching for Trends

A watch is a timeless statement piece.  A great place to find a great statement for a great deal is from invaluable.com.  From their About Us tab on their website, “Invaluable (formerly Artfact) is the world’s largest online auction marketplace of fine and decorative arts, antiques, collectibles, and estate sales.”

The watch below from invaluable.com’s women’s watch page caught my eye and I knew I needed to style it…. but I will say I had a hard time just choosing one! I wanted a bright Fall look with lots of patten and textures.  I also wanted to stick with one major store if possible and I almost did it!  However, to find the perfect scarf to compliment the outfit I ventured to the always go-to Target! Shout out to Ann Taylor for having so many great Fall/Winter looks to choose from!

This outfit works both for work and a night out for drinks! I think ALL of these pieces could also really work into an already existing wardrobe to help keep things fresh and fun… especially the watch.

The fall temps are here and I am loving it [for the most part]! I am on the Fort Worth Jingle Bell Run Committee and we had a walk through for our event.  This event is near and dear to my heart because it raises money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation.  Many people in my family YOUNG and old suffer from this debilitating disease and this event helps raise funds for research to help find relief and cures [there are over 100 different diseases that fall under the “arthritis” umbrella]!

Anyways I was feeling festive and so I decided to wear this bright red sweater.  I don’t tend to wear a lot of red because of my hair but pairing it with plaid really makes me feel cozy and in the Christmas spirit!

PS If you want to join my Jingle Bell Team; you can even Jingle in your Jammies from home [Click here] or donate [Here]! <3
