A laugh to brighten your Monday!
If you follow my instagram you know I got a HUGE package from Sephora. I am going to take some time and do a product review. I have been wanting to get a new eye shadow pallet and came across Urban Decay’s Ammo Palette. I love the different colors so I went for it.
Overall, I really LOVE this pallet! It came with “Eyeshadow Primer Potion”. I tried the eyeshadow with and without. Without the color still looks really bold and stays on HOWEVER, there is some glitter fall out when you don’t use the potion which makes for a little interesting look on your face. It isn’t crazy but enough to bother me. But as long as you use the potion it seems to eliminate that!
BONUS**When you order from Sephora you receive a few free samples. One of the samples I chose was Boscia BB Cream.
I have tried a few BB creams and most make me break out and don’t have good coverage. This Boscia BB Cream is a game changer…. it covers well enough for me to go and run errands and then for date nights I just throw on powder and my blush+eye makeup+ Lip and I am good to go! It feels light even with other makeup on top AND I have worn it three days and NO breakouts!
There are some girls who love shoes, some who love makeup, some who love clothes…. I am one of those girls that loves all thing girl! I LOVE perfume and always have several to choose from because depending on my mood will dictate what I wear!
NOTE** I grabbed descriptions from the websites!
Daring and bold, yet sensual and elegant….Inspired by the irrepressible spirit of the young Coco Chanel, the modern Oriental fragrance entices with an utterly feminine composition, expressing refined sensuality and incredible freshness.
I love this classic scent… know that it is very strong and a spritz or two goes a LONG way!
Flirtatious, charming, and sparkling with lighthearted personality, this fragrance leaves you flirting with your senses! It bursts open with a bright and whimsical effervescence. At the heart of the fragrance is the playful scent of peony. As the scent dries down, a flirty and elegant trail gives you an unexpected touch of fun that makes you smile!
This one is so fun and girly! Love it for girls night and even date night!
A light fragrance, filled with vitality and energy. Spray lavishly over the body–if you dare.
Classic scent that is great for work and a night on the town!
A fruity fragrance with top notes of blackcurrant and fresh green apple. Combined with heart notes of cedar wood, jasmine, moss and sandalwood, the fragrance has a rich and sensual tone. Musk and vanilla smooth the scent for a gentle warmth.
I LOVE this scent in the winter time. It is so calming and smooth!
Notes include pear, black currant accord, tangerine, pink peppercorn; the heart is comprised of damascena rose and yellow jasmine; and the finish is of soft leather accord, patchouli.
This scent is another great one that is great for everyday wear!
ALWAYS remember to spritz on your skin to see how it will REALLY smell on you!

Love the breakdown of SEVERAL products all in one blog! Can’t wait to try a new BB cream…. not a fan of the one I have.
I love finding reviews of products I wan’t to try! I have such small eyes that this type of eyeliner works well so I can wing out and give my eyes a bigger look!
It is that time again to update the good ole #100days of happiness! After this adventure ends I will pick back up on more unique posts!
Over the weekend my oldest friend came to town for a visit! I have known Kate for over 21 years… sheeeeeeesh! You should follow her blog Prairie Yuppie! She owns a ridiculously cute boutique in Stillwater, OK and competes in beauty pageants! While she was here we ventured around Fort Worth, and went to the Colonial! The quote below is our friendship… we could sit for hours and not say anything and be comfortable…. BUT lord knows we can chats each others heads off too!
True Friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable- David Tyson Gentry
Colonial was so fun! We had access to a few tents and the weather was perfect! We got to spend time with old friends and new friends and it was FABULOUS!
Belli [Facewash]- No, I am not pregnant but I have been having TERRIBLE breakouts but I don’t want to start medicine or anything ridiculously harsh on my skin. SO I have been searching for things that will help my face. I LOVE the philosophy clear line but wanted to try something new. I found rave reviews for this from NON pregnant people so I thought I would give it a whirl! And I LOVE it. Doesn’t smell and really gives you the fresh and clean feel! It really has reduced my break outs… right now I only have one pimple…. a month ago i had so many I couldn’t even count them all!
Cherry Coke Zero is a serious problem I have. I love it and it really does help curb my coke cravings especially in the summer when I crave it even more! Cue Rascal Flatts singing Mayberry. I don’t drink it everyday but I like having it around when I am have a sweet craving! SO YUMMY!
Kate and I decided to treat Mark to homemade breakfast after he
put up with us hung out with us all weekend. Omelets and bacon… can’t.beat.that.
Also, I have gotten to take advantage of working from home and some amazing weather by laying out with my laptop in hand! I LOVE it! Stay tuned for a blog post about the highs and lows of working from home! Should be funny…. at least for me.
Hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!
This update seems to have a lot of food pictures! Enjoy!
-I tried out a new bacon wrapped chicken recipe…. and it was a success! As I have said before my recipes are sometimes not done by measurement.
Preheat over to 375. Butterfly chicken breast. Stuff with a few blobs of cream cheese and chopped onions. I also added some fresh herbs from our garden (oregano and thyme). Wrap with bacon and secure with toothpicks. Bake for about 40 minutes.
-If you haven’t downloaded the time hop application, do it! It is fun to see what you posted about so many years ago! Mine alerted me to a post I had about moving to Texas 4 years ago! Can’t believe how fast time has flown!
–Tory Burch was having a seasonal sale! I purchased a pair of Reva’s and Flip Flops. I will post pictures once they get here! So excited!!!
-Last post I talked about the Betty Crocker Ultimate Brownie Mix. Well on the back of the box they had a recipe for brownie bites. SO I had to try. I followed the recipe EXCEPt it said it made 42 bites… I only made 32 and they were the perfect size! I also made some homemade peanut butter icing:
8oz cream cheese- room temp
1 big scoop of margarine (about the size of a stick of butter)- room temp
1/2 cups peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 t vanilla extract
Mark took these to work and they were gone VERY quickly! So yummy and bite size!
–Casey and I went on an adventure to shop and to see
Zac Efron without his shirt on a movie. We met when we worked at Texas Motor Speedway for Speedway Children’s Charity. So we got a laugh out of taking a selfie with the TMS pace car. We used to get to drive those all the time…. They are fun and FAST!
-Mark was out of town so I tried a new breakfast. I fried an egg, cooked some lunchmeat ham and melted cheese on a “slimmie” bagel. Turned out so yummy! One of my favs now!
Back at it again and it has been awhile! Here is the happenings of my life recently!
We have been trying to go on walks lately and we stopped to take a quick picture of downtown Fort Worth. It was such a beautiful night for a walk!
This. brownie. mix. It is real people! So yummy but SO dangerous!
At en engagement party over the weekend I tried the Shiner Ruby Red Bird. It was yummy but it was hard to drink the whole thing because it was so flavorful and it filled me up!
So the other day Mark got me some “just because” roses. They were so sweet and smelled amazing! He doesn’t do it often but when he does it is because he means it. I love them!
Mark and I are trying very hard to be less wasteful with our food/groceries. The other night we cooked some pork loin we had in the freezer, asparagus and then I made some yummy biscuits with cheese and fresh oregano. It turned out great and it was all random items we had in the fridge!
One of Mark’s cousins is having her confirmation and I went to pick out a card the other
day. This verse is one of my favorite and I really needed to see it the day I went to pick out the card. Definitely a GREAT pick-me-up!
Essie’s top coats are THE best! I use them with their own lines as well as with the OPI colors I have. It really helps it last longer than a regular polish top coat! LOVE it!
Volunteering is one of my passions. I love getting to help at fundraising events and giving back to great causes. Last night I was asked to join in helping Cuisine for Healing Survivor’s in Style. A little about this great organization:
When someone is fighting a life-threatening disease, their body needs additional nutrition. Yet, at a time when it’s more important than ever to eat healthy, many cancer patients (and others fighting for their lives), simply do not have access to the kind of food they need, let alone the energy or ability to shop for and prepare healthy meals.
Healthy, ready-made food needs to be available and easy to find. Cuisine for Healing was created out of this need and OUR MISSION is to make nutritious, delicious food readily available to people combating disease, while providing education about the power of healing food. Our driving VISION is a world where cancer and other related illnesses are prevented, treated and even eliminated through the power of healthy food!
This event was so fun and they have a fashion show featuring survivors! I love getting the opportunity to give back! The awesome banner below was donated by D & M Custom Signs… How great is that!
