Social distancing and summer fun means I have had to get a little out of my comfort zone to venture to new places with the kids. Y’all know I love sharing my favorite Fort Worth Activities. Lately, we have started having what I like to call Monday Field Trip and y’all have been asking me so many questions when I share our adventures on instagram. I thought I would let you in on my list of places to visit this summer. All of these areas are a quick drive whether in Fort Worth or close by. Here are 7 places to take your kids around Fort Worth!

Monday Field Trip Locations
Airfield Falls: Such a fun little gem in Fort Worth. A short walk from the parking lot and lots of nature to look at along the way. We love the trails and this is our new favorite area.
Fossil Rim: We had so much fun driving and seeing all the fun animals. We packed a lunch and enjoyed that after our adventures.
Dinosaur Valley State Park: You can see actual dinosaur prints here. There are also areas you can cool off with water. Tons of fun in the summer!
Grandbury City Beach: I would recommend heading here early in the day and staying until lunch. The crowd started to pick up around that time.
Log Cabin Village: This living history museum is so fun! Nestled right in our city and so much to learn.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden: We love seeing nature and all the beautiful scenes here. The kids just love exploring so it is one of our favorite go to spots.
Fort Worth Nature center & Refuge: A remarkable trail with so many wonderful things to see. Wildlife & nature at its best.
Take note that a lot of activities do require you to purchase tickets in advance. Make sure to check their website for details.
Will you start a new “Monday Field Trip” tradition?
