Last week I put together a date night list for Valentine’s Day for all around Fort Worth, Texas. This week I thought for Valentine’s Day it would be fun to put something fun together for the kiddos. I wanted to do something different but easy. I got to brainstorming and decided to do a Valentine’s Day Charcuterie board. Because let’s be honest I wanted something easy and not too crafty.
I also collaborated over on instagram to show case what other families do on Valentine’s Day! My friend Jordan featured her’s on a blog post too!

Dollar Tree for the WIN
I went by my local dollar tree and got all of the supplies. I already had a few small valenines cups that I had in mind to help give some height to the spread and I knew I wanted to use a bright white platter that I had.
From there I just picked up red, white and pink snacks. Did you know you can buy bags of all pink starburst #winning! I spent about $15 and surprised the kids with this on Sunday. They thought it was so cool and yummy! I put the board together in under 5 minutes and it really turned out so cute! This would be really fun to do on a larger scale for school or a party!
What I’ll do different NEXT time
*Next time I will just buy ALL items that can be left out so we can graze on it all week! It would also be fun to mix in some salty/savory items too! Or make a veggie one with all healthy options!
Something else I plan to put out on the day of are dot activities. My kids love these and the printable are always free! Below are the dot markers we use!
Here are the dot daubers we use! They are easy to use and aren’t very messy! For newer painters you may want an apron!
What Valentine’s Day traditions do you have? We will definitely continue the Valentine’s Day Charcuterie board!
