National Fry day was Saturday! Tripp (and myself) are MAJOR Fry-lovers! We ventured out and treated ourselves to a yummy, crispy and classic McDonald’s Fries!

Did you know that McDonald’s also serves its local communities through the Pennies per Pound program? The program benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
For every pound of French fries sold, McDonald’s donates one cent to local
RMHC chapters. No surprise here, but everything is bigger in Texas. McDonald’s of Greater North Texas actually donates two cents for every pound of fries sold at their restaurants to local Ronald McDonald Houses of Dallas and Fort Worth. **Funds allocated equally between both
chapters.

I was so thrilled to learn that since 2016, McDonald’s of North Texas has given $1.2M to local RMHC Chapters – providing families with the support and recourses they need while their children are receiving treatment
in local hospitals or health facilities.
When my brother was in an accident several years ago we actually were offered RMHC services. We didn’t end up needing a place to stay but it was a relief that in the time of need knowing we were taken care of. It is something that I will never forget. RMHC were there so quickly to offer help and to take away as much stress as possible.
Families in the unthinkable circumstances benefit so greatly from RMHC and their mission is something truly special. They are an organization that does amazing things for our communities and families in such tragic situations.

McDonald’s has such great programming happening throughout our communities. I encourage you to check out all of their fun events and hey if you can buy some fries you help support a great charity in your area!
Did you celebrate Nation Fry Day?
