Well hello everyone! If you didn’t hear the BIG news we are pregnant with baby #2! I am so excited to being blogging pregnancy #2. Moving forward I am hoping to do updates about every 2 weeks! This will cover my first trimester though since we just announced!
The early days: I tested about 100 times because I just couldn’t believe it! We actually had a chemical pregnancy about two months before this so I was SUPER nervous about every little thing once I saw that “positive”. So I kept testing to watch the positive line get darker… anyone else crazy about taking tests?!?!??
Symptoms: I didn’t really feel pregnant but my chest was sore. That was really my only symptom until week 6 and then the nausea hit. This started much earlier this go around and when I finally thought I was making a turn for the better I was up all night every 30 minutes throwing up… which landed me in the ER. Official diagnosis: hyperemesis gravidarum. Now I am taking diclegis and it is working AMAZING! I feel so much better and I have actually been able to keep weight on!
Week 10: Saying no to the genetic test. This was so hard to say no to. It seems like everyone these days is doing it to find out the gender. BUT goodness because I am not high risk the test would be almost $400…. that buys a lot of diapers y’all. I also like that “finding out” is a good midway point and something to look forward to. BUT it was so hard to resist doing it! I talked with my doctor and we both came to this choice and I am happy with it!
Overall: I have just felt more tired but having a toddler keeps you on your toes most of the day. I don’t have much of a bump and no significant weight gain at this point. I don’t know if it is because I have experienced the joy of pregnancy and motherhood but man I am way more nervous this second time then the first. I just always compare everything to the first go around ha!
I am looking forward to a hopefully *blissful* second trimester… knock on wood!
I am looking forward to sharing this journey with you all! I can wait for the fun, fashion and family to be taken to a whole new level!
What advice/tips/tricks can you mama’s share with me? So much has changed since my first go around!
XOXO Gabbing Ginger
Congrats!!! I thought I saw something about that in your IG stories, but I was like no, I haven’t seen it on Facebook yet! So exciting!!
