Drinks, on drinks, on drinks
So glad I could enjoy this beautiful weather and some yummy beverages! Plus, husband got off work before dinner and we got to spend some time together!
I LOVE nail polish. I have such an addiction to buying a new shade every time I visit the store! I am currently lusting over Essie’s Spring 2014 line! I love that nail polish is the new accessory and a great way to express yourself!
What is your favorite polish? What shades are you loving right now?
Day 3 and I feel like you are going to really start to get to know me with these everyday posts!
So I have really been focusing on my health lately! I realized I really needed to work on my hydration especially because I wanted to up my fitness level! So my 100 days of happiness is WATER! I am so thankful I have the ability to drink clean water everyday! So many in this world do not have access to it.
On that note have y’all ever heard of Fred Water? Check out this reusable water bottle and all the greatness of this company!
Here is my favorite cup I drink out of from home! Tervis Tumblers are amazing and have a LIFETIME guarantee! I have been using them since high school and they do replace them free of charge! #BOOMERSOONER
(ps the way the picture is taking makes the water look extra bubbly or something)
Here again for a quick post! I really do love fitness and finding new and fun things that keep me motivated! I am currently loving Barre classes!
I was to scared to go in person at first so I turned to googled and found a few online for free that I could try before going into the studio! Here are the links below!
What are you favorite workouts?
In conjunction with this this post I decided to take the #100daysofhappiness challenge! Some days I will explain other times I may just post a quick pic!
My day 1 features my furbabies! They are so sweet and love me unconditionally!
How can you not love these sweet faces! Ace is on the left and Rosey is on the right!
Well hello everyone! This week has just FLOWN by and I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday!
Basically right now I am living like a single lady [Hubby is a CPA and is in BUSY season already!] Last year another wife and myself started doing Thursday night dates so we could get some good chat time in! Well she had a BABY a few weeks ago! So one of my other girlfriends and I decided to bring her over some dinner and have a chat sessions [and of course squeeze and love on the new baby!]
So I took charge of dessert and had seen this pin! But I wanted to do it my own way…. so off I went to the store.
Here is what I put together:
Milk Chocolate Chi-s
Granny Smith Apples
Ketchup/ Mustard/Condiment Bottle
All I did was cut up the apples. Layer the apples flat in a pyrex cake container and sprinkled a handful of chocolate chips and a handful of marshmallows across. Then melt peanut butter in the condiment container and squeezed over the first layer. Then I repeated the steps for a second layer.
Here was the final product:
Such a hit and SO easy. All together I think it took me maybe 10 minutes and 8 minutes was cutting the apples!
What is one of your favorite recipes that is fast and easy?
“You can’t deny laughter; when it comes, it plops down in your favorite chair and stays as long as it wants.” Stephen King
We recently moved into a new house and have been working to fill this new house. I have enjoyed seeing our decor move and change from our old house to the new. One of my favorite areas that I have done is this little space that has a pop of turquoise.
This tranquil area is great for reading, blogging, relaxing or to kick back and watch the 70″ BIG screen that we have…. See you can mix his a hers in one room!
Gun Lamp (we live in Texas, come on!): Old [Copy Cat]
Clock: Stein Mart [Copy Cat]
One of my favorite decor tips is to take book slipcovers off old books around the house and use them to help create height and depth when decorating.
Also, don’t be afraid to shop around at sales and see what will work and return things that don’t work!
“I am sure there are things that can’t be cured by a good bath but I can’t think of one.” – Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am a bathoholic.
I could take a hot bath everyday even during those long hot Texas summers. I love taking time to relax and just having some time to myself. Sometimes my date to my bath is a glass of wine, other times it is my iPad and some Netflix.
I had looked all around Pinterest one day to find a good detox bath. Of course I wanted to take one that night so I needed to find ingredients that I already had… my lazy butt need not to make a run to the store!
I came across this Pin —-> HERE
Which lead to me this blog: sunshinesouthern.wordpress.com
So off I went to hunt down my ingredients:
Baking Soda: CHECK
Epsom Salt: CHECK
Green Tea Bags: CHECK
I took the detox bath and really did enjoy it! Side note: the green tea makes the bath water look like you peed ALOT in it but OH WELL!
I didn’t feel dizzy in the bath but when I got up and was drying off WHOA hello headache. BUT it went away quickly. I really like how the detox made my skin feel and it was UBER relaxing so I feel like I will do it again. I may continue to adventure and try new ones but I would say this Pinterest Challenge was a success!
What detox baths do you like best?
With the warm weather starting to show its face, I was inspired by a pair of Tori Burch wedges I saw the other day. WIth that being said I also think that sometimes we can “splurge” but other times we need to be economical. So I have made a “look” that doesn’t think about cost and a copy cat look that is ALL FROM TARGET! Let me know what you think!
They both have a day look top and a night on the town top. I think it is great to build versatile outwits that are comfy but can go from day to night!
